Abstract
This paper examines the revolutionary impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on literary creation. It focuses on emerging trends and their attendant implications for the field of literature. Considering the overwhelming influence of AI technologies in the current creation and consumption of literary texts; this study engages the amalgamation of AI and literature, it examines the integration of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly and Hemingway, as well as WriteYourBook.ai in the creative process and their implications on traditional concepts of authorship, creativity, copyright, plagiarism and labour practices. Through this analysis, the paper addresses the need to strike a medium between the possible positive and negative effects of these AI tools and the need to protect and preserve traditional critical thinking and profound reflection in literary creations.
